Prosegue a pieno ritmo l’attività di preparazione dell’evento per celebrare a Sciacca il centenario del disastro del dirigibile francese DIXMUDE.
Dicembre 2023 appare lontano, ma la macchina organizzativa della società inglese VECTOR 2009 e del suo Director Andrea Tassinari non conosce pause. Quest’ultimo nei giorni scorsi ha incontrato il sindaco Fabio Termine e l’assessore Salvatore Mannino, con i quali ha positivamente approfondito alcuni dei temi relativi ai lavori da eseguire e alle altre attività preparatorie dell’evento celebrativo in cantiere. E a proposito di cantieri, nei prossimi giorni sarà comunicata la data di apertura di quello connesso alla manutenzione della colonna votiva.
Un ulteriore tassello preliminare si è nel frattempo positivamente realizzato con il rilascio da parte della Soprintendenza BB.CC.AA. di Agrigento dell’autorizzazione paesaggistica per i lavori di manutenzione ordinaria e straordinaria della colonna votiva progettati dall’architetto Michele Ferrara, che sarà anche il direttore dei lavori.
Tali lavori saranno effettuati dalla società Edilizia Acrobatica di Agrigento.
La Presidenza della repubblica francese aveva già inviato una nota ufficiale a conferma di aver ricevuto il piano di lavoro della Vector 2099 per la organizzazione del centenario Dixmude.
La VECTOR sta valutando anche una innagurazione ufficiale del cantiere, con l’intervento di autorità italiane e francesi.
Altra fonte di impegno è rappresentata per la VECTOR dalla richiesta fatta all’arciprete di Sciacca di un intervento da farsi presso il Vescovo di Agrigento per proporre l’avvio di un’istruttoria tesa ad un processo di beatificazione di Padre Michele Arena, il sacerdote di Sciacca che ebbe un ruolo di primissimo piano nelle relazioni Italo-francesi connesse alla drammatica vicenda del DIXMUDE e che venne insignito dalla Francia di De Gaulle della più alta onorificenza della Repubblica.
VECTOR 2099 ha anche presentato al sindaco Termine tre istanze per intitolare vie o piazze a Padre Michele Arena, al comandante del DI MUDE Jean du Plessis de Grenédan e agli Eroi del Dixmude:
Infine, VECTOR ha indetto una riunione il 31 agosto a Londra con gli sponsor dell’evento centenario per certificare tutte le iniziative a corredo dello stesso.
