Via Al Lido, cioè la più tipica espressione negativa di perseveranza nella nostra città di Sciacca. E anche dei record.
Nel corso degli anni tanti ne hanno parlato, in tanti hanno descritto il problema di questa strada che è la più dissestata e, nel periodo estivo, forse anche la più trafficata del perimetro urbano, ma la Via Al Lido persevera nel suo dissesto come un trofeo dell’incuria amministrativa e del menefreghismo politico per i problemi reali della città.
E’ la strada dei record, attualmente ben 10 transenne nel suo percorso dall’inizio, (all’altezza del Bar Dolce Vita) alla fine (imbocco per contrada Foggia). E anche per il numero degli anni di mancata manutenzione.
Da oltre 15 anni (o forse più?) non viene sottoposta ad alcuna forma di significativa manutenzione, eccezion fatta per lo smottamento del manto stradale che puntualmente si apre all’altezza della Tonnara, e che all’inizio di ogni periodo estivo viene rappezzato per poi smottare nuovamente prima che l’estate finisca.
Stiamo parlando, lo sapete, dell’arteria che collega Sciacca con le spiagge a ovest della città: Lido, Tonnara, Foggia, San Marco. D’estate quindi è trafficatissima da cittadini e turisti, ma questo non ha mai minimamente contribuito a conferirle una sorta di priorità tra le “cose da fare urgentemente” per le amministrazioni comunali che si sono succedute nel tempo.
Ricordo che tanto tempo fa, quando le cose a Sciacca bene o male ancora funzionavano, ogni due/tre anni veniva interamente riasfaltata prima del periodo estivo.
Poi niente più: manto stradale completamente dissestato, avvallamenti, smottamenti, cespugli e alberi che invadono la sede stradale, mancanza di limitatori di velocità (la sera e la notte le auto e gli scooter sfrecciano a una velocità sostenuta, forse eccitati di fare motoscross), questa è la situazione che ovviamente peggiora di anno in anno.
Ma non finisce qui. Perché in autunno, quando il traffico diminuisce intensamente, altrettanto intensamente la nostra martoriata Via Al Lido ai primi acquazzoni viene puntualmente invasa dai fanghi che provengono dalla sovrastante scarpata, nella quale affluiscono incontrollate le acque piovane e le acque reflue non più trattenute dall’impianto fognario e dai tombini della Perriera, con la conseguenza di inondarla di fango putrido e di detriti. Allora arriva la Protezione Civile, arriva la polizia urbana, arrivano i tecnici del Comune, spesso con ritardo arrivano pale e trattori, si aggiunge qualche transenna e il cartello per la limitazione della velocità a 20, ma tutto rimane come prima.
Come la più tipica espressione negativa di PERSEVERANZA.
Il motivo? Ormai il ritornello lo conosciamo a memoria: NON CI SONO I SOLDI!
Ma qualunque amministrazione comunale che nell’arco di 5 anni (e qui stiamo parlando di più di una amministrazione comunale) non riesca ad esprimere una progettualità e a partorire un finanziamento per la manutenzione straordinaria di un’arteria così importante e così dissestata, secondo il nostro punto di vista non meriterebbe neanche l’appellativo di amministrazione comunale.
