Questa è la lettera che il padre di un ragazzino di 14 anni, che frequenta la scuola media, ha scritto oggi su facebook rivolta a tutti noi, comunità cittadina, e che ServireSciacca ritiene bello e significativo pubblicare, ovviamente con l’autorizzazione del Suo autore:
“ Spesso taccio di fronte alcune cose perché sono sempre stato positivo, avendo fiducia che magari le situazioni possano evolversi e migliorare; questo non vuole essere un rimprovero ai compagni di mio figlio né ai loro genitori né alla comunità tutta, siamo umani e tante cose non le capiamo, le diamo per scontate… ma si tratta di capire. E se non le viviamo in prima persona ahimè non capiamo e mi ci metto pure io, prima di diventare papà.
Non ho mai messo in dubbio l’affetto degli amici di Filippo, lo ribadisco, con molti di loro sono cresciuti insieme dalle elementari ed è benvoluto e rispettato; è bellissimo il messaggio di auguri in occasione del suo compleanno ed alcuni messaggi ricevuti ma occorre insegnare ai nostri figli che anche piccoli gesti insignificanti, possono rendere migliore gli adulti che stanno diventando, ma non solo in classe quando si è insieme sotto la guida degli insegnanti…
Ogni mattina accompagno Filippo a scuola e lo seguo con lo sguardo fino a quando non lo vedo entrare ma noto ciò che accade quando lui arriva e ci sono i suoi compagni. E’ la prima volta che ne parlo ma stamattina è accaduto qualcosa in più che mi ha stretto il cuore; quando è suonata la campanella si sono avviati tutti verso l’entrata e lui mentre camminava si è girato per ben 5 volte cercando con lo sguardo qualcuno dei suoi compagni che gli dicesse: “andiamo Filì”. Ma i gruppetti sono andati avanti fra loro senza guardarlo nemmeno. 5 volte si è girato e 5 volte ha trovato solo i miei occhi. Ma io sono papà e non sono eterno e neanche sua mamma. E “dopo di noi”? Che inclusione troverà Filippo? A chi si appoggerà? Quali abbracci, mani tese e porti sicuri? Sono i piccoli gesti che fanno realmente la differenza, come in tutte le cose. Quando arriva a scuola basterebbe un: “ciao Filippo, come stai?” “hey Filì, entri con noi?” “andiamo Filippo, è suonata la campanella”. Mascherine a parte basterebbe anche solo un sorriso, strizzare l’occhio, battere cinque, maledizione! Poche cose ma POTENTI. Invece arriviamo, lui saluta e spesso nessuno si gira, il gruppo non si apre e lui deve risalutare o devo farlo io. Ma non deve essere l’adulto, deve essere una coscienza collettiva che dobbiamo sforzarci di creare, coltivare nelle generazioni del domani, altrimenti l’inclusione sarà solo un compito da fare in classe e da dimenticare da adulti come le divisioni a 3 cifre. Non vedrete mai Filippo arrabbiarsi, protestare, offendersi. Lui sorride perché è tutto cuore ma in fondo ho il terrore che lui dentro di sé possa rimanerci male e che lentamente quel sorriso e quel sole vengano offuscati ed è una cosa che il mondo, si, l’umanità non può permettersi.
Un saluto, piccole attenzioni, coinvolgimenti, sono cose che non costano nulla e su cui si può benissimo lavorare perché i ragazzi sono eccezionali e possono fare cose ancora più belle! Si può sempre migliorare, non è mai troppo tardi! Le persone “speciali” sono responsabilità di tutti, non chiedono altro che fare gruppo, restare insieme, essere considerate ed amate. “Umanità” vuol dire guardare avanti insieme ed avere responsabilità reciproca del posto che vogliamo occupare e se qualcuno rimane indietro ci si sposta e lo si fa entrare. Questo è il mondo che vorrei e spero di poterlo ancora vedere prima di affidarvi il nostro amato Filippo…”
