La manifestazione in difesa della sanità pubblica e dell’Ospedale di Sciacca come DEA di I Livello prevede il raduno alle ore 10 di venerdì 10 novembre nella piazza Saverio Friscia, e da qui si ci muoverà in corteo dalla per raggiungere piazza Angelo Scandaliato.
Ormai giornalmente si susseguono a ritmo serrato notizie riguardanti il presidio ospedaliero del Giovanni Paolo II che hanno dell’incredibile e che rasentano l’indecenza.
L’ultima (si fa per dire…) in ordine di tempo riguarda la sostanziale chiusura del reparto di ortopedia, contro la quale insorge oggi il sindaco di Menfi, Vito Clemente, che ha inviato la seguente lettera al commissario straordinario dell’ASP, Mario Zappia, per chiedergli di rivedere la disposizione:
“ Si fa riferimento alla Sua disposizione temporanea, datata 31 Ottobre 2023, con la quale vengono sospese tutte le attività ortopediche di urgenza nel Presidio Ospedaliero di Sciacca, con la centralizzazione delle stesse presso il Presidio Ospedaliero di Agrigento e con la quale, contestualmente, viene pianificata una attività ortopedica di elezione presso lo stesso Presidio Ospedaliero di Sciacca da attuarsi almeno una volta a settimana per il tramite di una equipe itinerante, per rappresentarLe la rilevata preoccupazione della Comunità in ordine ad una scelta che non si ritiene confacente alle esigenze del territorio e dell’utenza che fa riferimento al Presidio Ospedaliero di Sciacca.
“ È evidente che la sospensione, seppur temporanea, delle suddette attività sanitarie comporterà sicuramente grave disagio ai pazienti residenti nel comprensorio di Sciacca e dei distretti limitrofi, ragion per cui lo scrivente chiede alla S.V. di volere rivedere tale disposizione, al fine di garantire le attività ortopediche d’urgenza nell’arco di tutte de 24 ore giornaliere“.
Prosegue intanto l’organizzazione della manifestazione di protesta: l’ufficio del sindaco, il Comitato Civico Sanità, associazioni di volontariato e tanti altri singoli cittadini che hanno a cuore le sorti dell’ospedale si sono attivati per coinvolgere quanta più gente possibile a scendere in piazza: i sindacati CGIL, CISL e UIL hanno proclamato la propria adesione, così come diverse associazioni, ma quel che conta sono anche e sopratutto i singoli cittadini, nella speranza che anche Sciacca sappia dimostrare di saper sollevare la testa e reclamare un diritto alla salute garantito dalla nostra Costituzione.
Ottima l’iniziativa, peccato per l’orario,olti non saranno presenti perché si lavora. Un suggerimento, perché non invitate le scuole? Si fanno tante manifestazioni in favore di associazioni ed eventi nazionali ed internazionali, quindi perché non coinvolgere la comunità scolastica in favore di una iniziativa che vedrà coinvolto il loro futuro?
Condivido la proposta di Vincenzo, tra le tante ragioni, quella di responsabilizzare i ragazzi e renderli consapevoli di ciò che accade nella nostra città.
