La seconda edizione del Memorial “Benedetto Modica” si è svolta ieri presso la struttura sportiva Residence Isabella a Sciacca
Si sono sfidate quattro squadre, tutte composte da medici, infermieri ed operatori socio sanitari dell’Ospedale Giovanni Paolo II di Sciacca.
Il Memorial è stato conquistato, con una finalissima decisa ai rigori, dalla squadra della “Neuroriabilitazione Maugeri” ma la serata ha visto primeggiare la solidarietà in tutti i partecipanti.
Erano presenti l’Assessore comunale Valeria Gulotta, il direttore f.f. dell’UOC di Rianimazione dell’Ospedale di Sciacca Franco Petrusa, il Presidente dell’Associazione ORAZIO CAPURRO ODV Alessandro Capurro ed anche tantissimi colleghi ed amici del compianto dott. Modica.
Sono state c ricordate le doti umane e professionali del dott. Modica ma anche del dott. Orazio Capurro, entrambi medici che hanno dedicato la loro vita ad aiutare il prossimo.
C’è stata una grande partecipazione, tutte le squadre ci hanno messo cuore, passione, impegno ed amore…..
L’iniziativa è stata sostenuta anche da numerosi sponsor ed attività commerciali, il rinfresco è stato offerto dalla Pasticceria ExtraBar di Sciacca. Alla famiglia sono state donate una targa commemorativa dall’infermiere Giuseppe Palminteri ed una maglia dagli organizzatori.
Il ricavato della serata di beneficenza è stato complessivamente di 1.510,00 euro ed è stato interamente donato all’Associazione ORAZIO CAPURRO ODV.
