Il Comitato Civico Patrimonio Termale di Sciacca ha dichiarato di aver preso atto con viva soddisfazione del fatto che l’assessore regionale Marco Falcone ha mantenuto l’impegno assunto di reperire le risorse finanziarie regionali per la chiusura della liquidazione di “Terme di Sciacca SpA”, con il valore aggiunto dell’acquisizione al patrimonio immobiliare della Regione siciliana anche del Piccolo Albergo di San Calogero. Per il Comitato Civico è un primo passo significativo, che fa ben sperare per il futuro, considerato che i risultati ottenuti vanno nella direzione indicata dal Comitato.
All’assessore Falcone e alle le forze politiche che hanno sostenuto la relativa norma legislativa il Comitato Civico esprime pertanto tutto il proprio apprezzamento.
Il Comitato Civico Patrimonio Termale nell’occasione prende altresì favorevolmente atto dell’avvenuta convocazione (per il giorno 25 Luglio 2023, ore 10:30, presso il Palazzo Municipale, Aula Consiliare Falcone-Borsellino) da parte del presidente del consiglio comunale Ignazio Messina della conferenza dei capi gruppo del consiglio comunale di Sciacca, allargata al Comitato Civico Patrimonio Termale e ad altre due associazioni civiche, dedicata alla trattazione della questione termale.
Come si ricorderà il Consiglio comunale nella seduta del 17 Luglio 2023 ha trattato il punto: *Problematica Terme di Sciacca”, ritenendola di fondamentale importanza per il futuro della Città e con delibera n. 51, all’unanimità, ha ritenuto necessario seguire direttamente l’iter politico/tecnico diretto a mettere a punto strategie concrete finalizzate alla riapertura del Complesso Termale. Per raggiungere tale obiettivo ha ritenuto di utilizzare quale organismo deputato a ciò, in grado di garantire tutte le forze politiche presenti in Consiglio Comunale, la conferenza dei capigruppo con la partecipazione del Comitato Civico Patrimonio Termale, di altre due associazioni cittadine dei consiglieri comunali interessati.
