L’Associazione ORAZIO CAPURRO ODV ha il merito oggi di riportare d’attualità la questione ospedaliera sulla quale sembrava essere sceso improvvisamente il silenzio.
Il suo Presidente, Alessandro Capurro, ha infatti richiesto al Sindaco Fabio Termine la convocazione nel più breve tempo possibile della Conferenza dei Sindaci del distretto di Sciacca, alla quale invitare lo stesso Presidente dell’Associazione ORAZIO CAPURRO ODV al fine di potere esporre a tutti i Sindaci la proposta avanzata dalla sopracitata Organizzazione di Volontariato che mira alla nascita dell’Azienda Ospedaliera negli Ospedali Riuniti di Sciacca e Ribera, con una propria autonomia economico-finanziaria ed organizzativo-amministrativa.
Tale soluzione viene considerata dall’associazione ORAZIO CAPURRO ODV l’unica vera soluzione definitiva ai numerosi ed ormai cronici problemi che interessano i Presidi Ospedalieri di Sciacca e di Ribera, per almeno 5 motivi:
• perché ha la Banca del Sangue Cordonale, pochissime al mondo, in cui si fa ricerca;
• perché serve un bacino di utenza vastissimo che in alcuni periodi dell’anno triplica;
• perché mancano le infrastrutture stradali adeguate;
• perché si trova in una posizione geografica strategica;
• perché l’esperimento e l’esperienza di eliminare lo status di Azienda Ospedaliera al Presidio Ospedaliero di Sciacca hanno portato risultati disastrosi.
Successivamente alla Conferenza dei Sindaci, l’Associazione ORAZIO CAPURRO ODV chiede altresì al Sindaco di convocare, nel giro di pochi giorni, un ulteriore incontro allargato ai alla Deputazione Regionale del territorio al fine di portare tutti insieme e con voce unanime all’attenzione dell’Assessore Regionale alla Salute la richiesta di istituzione dell’Azienda Ospedaliera degli Ospedali Riuniti Sciacca-Ribera.
A tal proposito il Presidente dell’Associazione ORAZIO CAPURRO ODV ricorda al Sindaco di aver lanciato sulla piattaforma change.org una petizione indirizzata all’Assessore Regionale alla Salute, che nel giro di poche settimane ha visto l’adesione di oltre mille persone, tra cui Sindaci ed Associazioni del territorio e Personale Sanitario, per chiedere la nascita di tale nuova Azienda Ospedaliera.
Darà riscontro Fabio Termine a tale richiesta? La convocazione della conferenza dei sindaci del distretto sanitario, in qualità di sindaco capofila, gli era già pervenuta da altre fonti.
Così come un incontro allargato alla deputazione territoriale gli è stato chiesto ormai da giorni sull’altra questione ad alta sensibilità sociale, quella termale, dal Comitato Civivo Patrimonio Termale, ma il primo cittadino non ha dato ancora riscontro formale di adesione con l’indicazione di una data.
