Un mare sempre più pulito e con un servizio di raccolta dei rifiuti plastici innovativo con l’attivazione di processi di riciclo che consentiranno la realizzazione di elementi di arredo da collocare nel porto peschereccio di Sciacca. È l’obiettivo di un progetto di cui è parlato questa mattina nel corso di un convegno nell’ambito del Blue Sea Land, a Mazara del Vallo, al quale hanno partecipato il sindaco Fabio Termine, l’assessore allo Sviluppo sostenibile e alla Tutela del Mare Francesco Dimino e l’assessore all’Ambiente e alla Tutela della Costa Salvino Patti.
Il Comune di Sciacca è presente al Blue Sea Land con un proprio stand, col quale promuove il proprio territorio e le proprie risorse. Un appuntamento che l’Amministrazione comunale non ha voluto mancare per l’importanza dell’evento e per concretizzare il lavoro fatto negli ultimi mesi con i sindaci e gli assessori dei Comuni di Mazara del Vallo e di Marsala, i vertici del Distretto della Pesca e Crescita Blu e i suoi componenti per entrare a far parte dello stesso organismo distrettuale e inserirsi nell’elaborazione di progetti e iniziative che hanno come scopo primario lo sviluppo dell’economia della pesca e la tutela della risorsa del mare. Il Blue Sea Land Expo dei Cluster del Mediterraneo, dell’Africa e del Medio Oriente è uno degli eventi promosso dal Distretto e nasce per sviluppare cooperazioni diplomatiche, economiche e scientifiche tra numerosi paesi che si estendono dal Mediterraneo all’Oceano Indiano.
Questa mattina l’interessante convegno presso il Mahara Hotel sul tema “Una nuova vita per la plastica che viene dal mare” a cura della Regione Marche, alla presenza dei rappresentanti istituzionali dei Comuni di Mazara del Vallo, Marsala e Sciacca, del Distretto e del Corepla, consorzio nazionale per la raccolta, il riciclo e il recupero degli imballaggi in plastica, con un intervento del sindaco Fabio Termine. Un’occasione per esaminare la realtà, esprimere idee, verificarne la fattibilità e passare alla fase della redazione dei progetti come quello che intende portare avanti il Comune di Sciacca sul riciclo della plastica raccolta dai pescatori a mare e che verrebbe ritirata gratis dal Corepla per essere riciclata e trasformata in elementi d’arredo.
