Passione civica, amore e volontà di riscatto per Sciacca attraverso la risorsa più preziosa che questa città custodisce in sé.
Sono queste le motivazioni che hanno sostenuto il ventiquattrenne concittadino Alessandro Tornetta nel fare la propria tesi di laurea magistrale in Architettura dal titolo: “Progetto di riqualificazione urbana per la rinascita delle Terme di Sciacca”.
Una tesi di laurea che nella prima pagina Alessandro ha “dedicato a tutte quelle persone che non si arrendono e realizzano i propri sogni”.
Un elaborato di tesi che Alessandro Tornetta, il giorno dopo essersi brillantemente laureato architetto con 110 e lode, ha voluto donare al Comitato Civico Patrimonio Termale di Sciacca, consegnando l’elaborato al Coordinatore Franco Zammuto, per l’impegno profuso dal Comitato nella salvaguardia del nostro patrimonio termale.
Un lavoro brillante quello dell’arch. Alessandro Tornetta, non solo dal punto di vista strettamente tecnico, ma anche politico e sociale.
“ Con questo mio lavoro – ci dice Alessandro – vorrei sensibilizzare i miei concittadini, in particolare i giovani, sul fatto che se ripartissero le Terme, da riproporre in modo nuovo e moderno, ripartirebbe un intero sistema economico di città e di territorio”.
Ma ciò che il ventiquattrenne Alessandro Tornetta ha elaborato con la sua tesi di laurea è anche una vera e propria idea progettuale di futuro della città di Sciacca: vale a dire, esattamente ciò che non è mai riuscita a fare la classe politica e amministrativa cittadina.
Attraverso un percorso fatto con 11 elaborati grafici Tornetta arriva a delineare la sua proposta di nuova prospettiva termale e il suo Manifesto della Terme di Sciacca: una prospettiva di termalismo articolata su tre distretti (termalismo terapeutico-sociale, termalismo culturale e termalismo del benessere) e un Manifesto che graficamente rappresenta la nuova immagine di città termale, raffrontando lo stato di fatto attuale di abbandono con la proposta progettuale delle nuove Terme.
La parte scritta e discorsiva della tesi si conclude invece con una splendida immagine del litorale di Sciacca e sovrimpressi questi versi in dialetto di Emanuele Scaduto, che esprimono compiutamente il senso di quel che ha voluto ricordarci Alessandro Tornetta: “Sciacca è tutta n’facci a lu mari e la n’castunaru ‘mmezzu l’acqui termali, la visteru cu gusto e valità, monumenti spappagghiaru a vuluntà e li cosi chiddi ‘cchiu cari su li stufi, termi, arti davveru rari. Ma lu veru gran tesoro ‘cca l’avemu sutta, solu semu scassi e camminamu n’capu l’oru“.
