Credo sia bello dedicare il primo articolo di questo nuovo Blog giornalistico a un argomento che riguarda il momento forse più importante della tradizione e della religiosità del popolo sciacchitano, la processione della Madonna del Soccorso, Patrona della nostra città, ed anche a un nostro concittadino illustre, il poeta Vincenzo Licata, sicuramente annoverabile tra i migliori poeti dialettali a livello nazionale per la straordinarietà dei contenuti delle sue liriche ma anche per l’intensità della voce con le quali le interpretava.
Una delle poesie più significative di Vincenzo Licata è proprio “Cunnucemu la Madonna”, che descrive in modo davvero magistrale la più autentica anima sciacchitana nella devozione alla propria Patrona dell’intero popolo di Sciacca e con essa la processione del 2 febbraio e del 15 agosto, durante la quale la Madonna viene portata per le vie della città sulle spalle di centinaia di marinai a piedi nudi e si tocca con mano quella magica fusione di religiosità e tradizione che Vincenzo Licata ha così ben rappresentato.
“Cunnucemu la Madonna” recitata dalla viva voce di Vincenzo Licata fa da sfondo ad un video con le immagini della processione realizzato alcuni anni addietro e che è stato talvolta utilizzato dalle TV locali per celebrare l’evento.
Quest’anno 15 agosto 2020 per la prima volta nella storia di Sciacca la processione del sacro simulacro di Maria non è stata fatta, a causa dei divieti conseguenti alla pandemia Covid19. Per celebrare comunque la ricorrenza, sono state assunte alcune iniziative tra le quali quella dell’assessore alla cultura del Comune di Sciacca, Gisella Mondino, unitamente alla Biblioteca comunale “Aurelio Cassar, che hanno realizzato un nuovo video dedicato alla Madonna del Soccorso con le immagini della processione e con sottofondo alcuni versi della stessa lirica “Cunnucemu la Madonna”, recitati questa volta dalla voce di Raimondo Moncada, addetto stampa del Comune. Questo video è stato inserito sul canale youtube del Comune di Sciacca e sarà pubblicato anche sul profilo Facebook dell’assessorato alla Cultura.
Il blog “ServireSciacca” ritiene di fare un doppio omaggio alla Madonna del Soccorso e al poeta Vincenzo Licata, pubblicando qui di seguito entrambi i video (quello con la voce di Vincenzo Licata contiene una brevissima introduzione estemporanea dell’artista e ci è stato gentilmente concesso dall’Associazione Pietro Germi di Vincenzo Raso).
