L’offerta è stata di 1,2 milioni di euro su una base d’asta fissata a 1 milione 183.500 euro. Il progetto prevede di preservare gli edifici storici delle scuderie, di riqualificare le decorazioni Liberty delle facciate e di utilizzare la presenza di acque termali nel sottosuolo per creare le «Terme di Milano», oltre alla progettazione di un vasto parco urbano. Il contratto definitivo verrà stipulato a inizio 2021 e darà il via ai lavori che si prevede di ultimare a fine 2022. Nel frattempo è arrivato il via libera fondamentale da parte della Sovrintendenza in quanto il complesso in stile Liberty delle scuderie costruito tra il 1915 e il 1917-18, è sotto vincolo monumentale. «Sarà uno dei luoghi più sorprendenti della Milano dei prossimi anni — dice l’assessore all’Urbanistica, Pierfrancesco Maran — Abbiamo fatto Reinventing cities perché Milano ha bisogno di progetti che fanno brillare gli occhi e questo lo è decisamente».
Si tratterà non solo del più grande complesso termale italiano in una grande città, ma anche delle prime terme green d’Europa, essendo a zero emissioni di CO2. L’accesso sarà da via Achille attraverso un’area verde a uso pubblico. All’interno, dopo la biglietteria, tutto quello che ci si aspetta di trovare in un complesso termale: vasche, idromassaggi, hammam, solarium, area beauty. All’esterno quattro vasche termali.
